Marx is planting trees... with Coldplay?!
In the tech realm, software is like a double-edged sword
Digital transformation isn't all about zeroes and ones. While innovation supercharges efficiency, we can't ignore technology's appetite for energy and resources. Software development, data storage and online activities consume significant server power, which isn't great for our carbon emissions.
BUT, with every transformation having its environmental cost, there are ways to lower it. After all, technology is all about problem-solving.
So, what positive steps can the tech world take to cut down on carbon emissions? The industry is constantly working on energy-efficient algorithms, virtualisation, and cloud optimisation to reduce its footprint.
But what can we do here and now, getting our hands dirty and... Making an impact instantly? Plant trees!
One Tree Planted has made quite a buzz across social media partnering up with Coldplay arranging to plant one tree for every ticket sold on the Music Of The Spheres World Tour and through proceeds of all individual tee sales, taking mass sustainability action to a truly epic level.
Inspired by their dedication, Marx has now become an official Business Partner of One Tree Planted, pledging to donate to reforestation projects all around the world on an on-going basis!
One Tree Planted is a nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore biodiversity, raise awareness about the ecosystem restoration and offer businesses a simple sustainability solution. Offering a very flexible and impactful way for companies like Marx to contribute to a greener planet, One Tree Planted is making a huge difference, one tree at a time.
Thank you to One Tree Planted for their inspiring work, we are very excited for our first seedling to sprout!
